Privacy policy

Last updated: January 7, 2026

Your privacy is very important to us. This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online. PII, as used in U.S. privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your PII.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This privacy policy is for the website (www.flexisched.net) and related publicly accessible content and the fee-based Service that is accessed via login and password. Users can access the Service through our product as licensed by your school, district, state or other licensee via Devices. A “Device” is any computer used to access the Service, including without limitation a desktop, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, or other consumer electronic device. This Privacy Policy governs your access of the Service, regardless of how you access it, and by using our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses described in this Privacy Policy. All of the different forms of data, content, and information described below are collectively referred to as “information.”

What personal information do we collect?

On our website and other publicly facing content, FlexiSCHED does not collect PII about you, unless you provide information to us, which is voluntary. When providing PII, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, job title and other details to help assist in your experience with FlexiSCHED.

FlexiSCHED, in its role as a vendor to educational agencies and institutions (EAs), receives disclosures from the EAs of personally identifiable information (PII) contained in student records. Only information that is needed for FlexiSCHED to perform services outsourced to it by the EA is disclosed to FlexiSCHED. These disclosures are authorized under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a federal statute that regulates the privacy of student records by EAs that receive financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Education. FlexiSCHED, as a contractor to the EA, receives the disclosures on the same basis as school officials employed by the EA, consistent with FERPA regulations, 34 CFR §99.31(a)(1)(i)(B). Consistent with those regulations, FlexiSCHED has a legitimate educational interest in the information to which it is given access because the information is needed to perform the outsourced service, and FlexiSCHED is under the direct control of the EA in using and maintaining the disclosed education records, consistent with the terms of its contract.

When do we collect information?

Personal Information is or may be used: (i) to provide and improve our Service, (ii) to administer your use of the Service, (iii) to better understand your needs and interests, (iv) to personalize and improve your experience, and (v) to provide or offer software updates and product announcements.
